This is one of my favourite drives along the Cowichan Valley.

I think this will be the last of the landscapes for awhile, I have a few days off so I'm hoping to paint larger and spend some time experimenting with monoprints.

I have been noticing trees lately, part of it is the season, but I also have the desire to work in a series and to challenge myself to really simplify what I see. The temptation is to paint in all the details.
