I thought I would re-visit lemons today. As with all fruits and vegetables, it was a great colour study and I managed to use all the yellows and blues on my palette

This is a simplistic composition with lemons. When painting fruit it's easy to get lost in the abstraction of shapes and colour which can be very satisfying.

Lemons

I drink lemon juice almost everyday, it's supposed to be good for you, cleansing and all that.

In the last year lemons have become a staple in my kitchen. I use them for a variety of things, but my favourite use of lemons is as decoration. A bowl full of lemons on a table or counter is a visual delight and mine are usually in a beautiful deep blue pottery bowl.
